Spendsafe Marketing & Strategy

With cash disappearing, kids need a safe and modern way to understand and manage their own spending. This is exactly what Spendsafe is fired up about and delivering on every day, an app that teaches smart money habits for kids. I stepped in and helped create on-brand collateral and marketing content, as well as help update their existing brand guideline with a solid strategic foundation.

The brand was set, but there was no direction given. I stepped in to guide the positioning and collateral design towards one clearly defined goal: teach kids how to use money in a digital- first age. Partnered with a brilliant strategist and marketing director, we brought out a clear vision for Spendsafe and brought it to life.

The goal wasn't simply to promote a financial product. It was to build confidence and understanding around financial education.

My role was to help align the visual communication around helping young people develop healthy financial habits in the digital-first world. To address this, I developed marketing materials that was clear with simple messaging, cutting through the abstract financial concepts typically used. Layouts were designed to feel clean and organized, and fun illustrations and imagery were used to build excitement over growth and rewards. This helped the brand feel grounded in practical education.

The resulting marketing system gave Spendsafe a clearer voice and stronger strategic direction. The work helped transform a collection of marketing materials into cohesive brand experience.
